Jean Pierre Le Boterff, born October 15, 1857 in Noyal-Muzillac, was a young farmer who was very diligent and committed to his work. On September 10, 1874, near the camp where he was intent on sowing, he saw a figure on the edge of the woods. This figure was surrounded by a highly luminous halo grew more distinct, until she assumed the appearance of the Mother of God: she wore a blue robe sprinkled with stars, a golden cloak and a white veil.
