SANCTUARY
The Shrine of Our Lady of Cortes is located on a hill six kilometers from the city. The sanctuary must have been built in the early eighteenth century, although the origins of the sanctuary are dated nine years after the conquest carried out by Alfonso VIII.
Submerged legendary glimpses, the Shrine of Our Lady of Cortes, is located in the area where the locals placed an old fortification popularly known as Atalaya.
