erhaps it is the party with more roots and tradition of Ruesga. It is held in early September in the Valley, starting the celebration with a solemn mass and a popular pilgrimage, to which one goes on pilgrimage, even from as far away as Ruesga Noja, Santoña or Laredo. Subsequently, on September 14, the "milagruco" where a bazaar of local products installed celebrated.

The milagruco has an associated legend, which places the origin of this celebration in the chestnut of Vegacorredor and this place in the past a gathering of witches. One night, around a pilgrimage by a Biscay to the Virgin of the Miracle soldiers, in this place by the river saw tongues of fire. As you approach them, witnessed these witches coven, invoked God and charged them making them flee.
The next day, when the event was known, people came joyful to chestnut, where the ashes were still smoldering, finding a large copper cauldron and several phials, which was buried in the same place. Since then, every year is celebrated in this place a pilgrimage, very popular and known throughout the region.
