In Syracuse, Italy in 1953 Antonina Janusso was cured from pains while witnessing a weeping plaque of the Madonna in the home of the parents of her husband, Angelo. The tears purportedly were the source of many miracles throughout Italy. Pope Pius XII approved of the miraclous weeping after the tears were found by four different doctors to be human. History

While suffering epileptic fits and cramping pains, Antonina Jannuso discovers a plaster statue of the Madonna shedding tears. Her pains end and the statue, still weeping, is taken to the police who later return it to the Janusso home. Crowds, which included chaplain Father Vincenzo Sapio, came to witness the miracle.

On September 1, at 11:00 a.m., a Commission of doctors and analysts went to the Jannuso home sent by the Chancery of the Archdiocese of Syracuse. They took up a sample of the liquid that flowed from the eyes. Microscopic analysis verified: “They are human tears.” After the scientific analysis, on the fourth day of the lachrymation, the weeping ceased.

The 29-30-31 August and 1 September 1953, a square of plaster, depicting the Immaculate Heart of Mary, place as bedside of a double bed, in the house of a young married couple, Angelo Iannuso and Antonina Giusto, Via degli Orti di S. Giorgio, n. 11, shed human tears.
The phenomenon occurred at intervals longer or shorter, both inside and outside of the house.
There were many people who saw with their own eyes, touched with their own hands, they gathered and tasted the salt of those tears.
The 2nd day of tearing, a cineamatore Syracuse shooting one of the moments of tearing.
The one in Syracuse is one of the few well-documented event.
On September 1, a commission of doctors and analysts, on behalf of the the Archbishop of Syracuse, after removing the liquid that flowed from the eyes of the picture, it underwent microscopic analysis. The response of the science was "human tears."

Our Lady of Tears,
you are the Mother of Jesus reveal to us with your tears the grace of your Son,
who feels great compassion for us, your children, too often weary and oppressed (cf. Lk 7:13; Mt 11:28).
You are the Father's Daughter: Tell your crying with the 'love of God,
who has compassion on all because all he can and closes his eyes to the sins of men, waiting for our repentance (cf. Wis 11:23).
You are the Bride of the Holy Spirit remind us with your crying the fellowship of the Spirit,
who "helps us in our weakness" and "intercedes insistently for us with groans too deep for words" (Rom 8:26).

for the ' impotence in front of the illness
