According to research, the authorization of the Bishopric of St. Paul, for the building of the chapel of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, given by the Provision dated March 29, 1849 and the first house of worship was located right in the center square of the current "Mayor Mario Zucato ".
History
Their respective official blessing took place April 13, 1850, also by provision of the Chapter House of St Paul, which belonged ecclesiastically the chapel. In 1881, the then curate of Monte Sião was elevated to canonical institution of the Parish Church of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal. In 1934, the paroquiato of Father José Eugenio Faria, better known as Father Zequinha began the construction of the present Church, the same place the previous. Four years later, the work being finished passed the responsibility of the new vicar, Father Gustavo Moreira de Abreu. Thereafter modifications were made, and construction completed in the 50s.
In the period from 1974 to 1998 the parish was under the care of the priests Congregation of the Augustinians of the Assumption. On November 5, 1999, after many studies, research, evidence of Graces received through the intercession of Our Lady and for being the first site in the world dedicated to the Miraculous Medal gives solemnly elevation of the Shrine Church of Our Lady of the Medal Miraculous by Decree of the Archbishop of Pouso Alegre Don Ricardo Pedro Pinto Chaves Filho.

Peter Atibaia up from there follow the passage Atibaia-Bragança Paulista-Relief-Lindenow-Waters Lindenow and Monte Sião
